You are invited to come meditate with us. We practice in a gentle, flexible way that encourages bringing your entire experience into your meditation.
We are an established group that has been meditating together online since the beginning of the pandemic, March 2020. We sit together online every day from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. We start with a short Dharma Talk or Prompt, followed by 30 minutes for meditation, practicing in any way that is comfortable for you. At the end of the sitting, a bell will ring and you will have ten minutes to reflect back on your meditation experience. You can either journal what you recall or just hold it in your memory. At the end of the reflection period, another bell will ring. The final ten minutes is an opportunity for a few people to share their meditation reflections with the group. The teacher may ask a few questions or add some comments. In this way we learn to find words for and speak about our meditation experience, as well as hear and learn from others about the variety of meditative experience.
To join the daily online meditation, log onto Zoom a few minutes before 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time, and enter this Zoom Room # 818 7605 9491, pass code #100. You will be automatically muted. The talk will begin at precisely 9:00 a.m. We encourage you to turn on your video to listen to the talk, so that you can both see others and be seen. During the meditation and reflection periods, we turn off our videos, and during the final ten minutes of sharing, we turn them back on so that we can see and hear one another. We only turn on our mics when we wish to speak. The meditation session ends at 10:00.
